I was a homeschooled kid and feel validated. Reading this unlocked vivid flashbacks of when I received an IPod touch from my grandmother and then proceeded to have a chronic 1D wattpad addiction at 12. While I wasn’t brave enough to post on yt, I did talk to strangers daily on My Pet Shop Story and learned way more than what public school could teach. Regular school kids will never be faster at deleting a search history than a homeschooler. love ya!
god you were just a child who wanted stardom like the famous youtubers you saw, only to be violated by pedophiles. DEATH TO ALL OF THEM!!! that is so soul crushing, but i’m so glad you could still make a living out of something you so clearly love. thank you for sharing this 🫶🏽
yup. similar story.. was on some random viewer live stream app as a child and was asked to jump up and down on the bed & did. soon was sent a penis pic in the chat. had never seen a penis. the illusion left real fast. 😭 this was very real! fuck the internet! but also.. we love you internet..
and in hindsight as an adult, I know I was fooling no one. idk if they knew they were talking to a 9 year old, but “college grade reading level” or not there’s no possibility that those weirdos didn’t realize I was a young minor. so fucking weird and near the top of my list for not having kids lol
This was really well-written! And Davie can go to hell.
Back then my parents wouldn't let me on the Internet either, but I was too innocent and stupid to use any online stuff anyway. I was happy with watching DanTDM (who thankfully ended up being a good person at the end of it all)
Now after hearing such stories everywhere, it leaves me thinking that maybe being too stupid to break the rules was the smartest thing I've ever done in my entire life.
This story is dark as fuck but "I was suddenly MASSIVE in the cancer community" was super funny I'm so sorry.

You are so talented in so many fields; feet, writing. End of list.

I also loved watching *redacted*higa on my iPad mini! I am sorry that happened, though. the bad old days of no video moderators + omegle.
Child internet trauma is way too common for people our age. I had so many internet boyfriends when I was 9.
